５月３０日に教育実習生の先生が来られ、３週間の日程で日々奮闘されています。

今日は学年集会にて現役時代の頃のことなどを話していただきました。

On  May 30, one university student-teacher has come to our school and been studying how to teach very hard.  She is going to come to school for three weeks.  Today she told us about her high school days experience and so on.

　２，３年生は昨日から、１年生は今日から中間考査が始まりました。

　みんな日頃の力を発揮してがんばっています。

　The 1st mid-term exam has just begun! (1st grade students: From today, 2nd and 3rd grade students: From yesterday)

  Everybody’s doing his or her best.

　明日のやかげ学実習に向けて準備をしています。

　老人福祉センターでレクリエーションをするようです。

　Our students who are now taking Yakage-gaku study (3rd grade students) are preparing for the coming tomorrow.

  One of the 14 groups are arranging some re-creations at Elderly People’s Welfare Center.

　いま、昨日からの学習合宿でがんばっています。

　普通科探究コースの1年生がサントピア岡山総社でグループ活動や講義、学習に取り組んでいます。

　We are trying hard to study and acquire their own studying style now.   Our academic course students are staying at Sun Topia Okayama Soja.

　毎年新入生の恒例行事、高妻山ハイクが行われました。高妻山は校歌にも歌われ、学校の裏でいつも我々を守ってくれています。

　　Takatsuma-yama Hiking was held for freshmen as our anual event.  We can listen to the word Takatsuma-yama in our school song, and this mountain is located at the back of our school.

　今年は天候にも恵まれ、絶好のハイキング日和となりました。本校ALTのジェシカ先生も一緒に元気に楽しみました。

  Today it’s perfectly sunny, so we enjoyed going hiking very much.  Also, our ALT Jessica enjoyed herself very much!　

　昼休みに対面式を行いました。

　At lunch break, the first meeting ceremony between seniors and freshmen was held.

　159名の新入生が入学しました。春ですね。

　159 freshmen has entered our high school Yakage!   Spring has come!!

まるで、ある歌謡曲のようですが、本日多くの先を生方をお迎えし、多くの先生方が矢掛高校を去っていかれました。

　Today a lot of new teachers were introduced among students, and a lot of teachers left from our dear school Yakage.  This situation is like some of the lyrics from some music pop tunes.

         
さみしくて、涙が出てしまいました。今後のご活躍を祈念いたします。とともに、新しく来られた先生方、これからよろしくお願いします。

 I felt so lonely, so I burst into tears.  We hope they will succeed in coming next lives.  And let’s be in good terms from now, new teachers!

　本校校長の川上公一先生が今日を最後に定年退職されました。

　Our principal, Mr. Koichi Kawakami, retired from school because of the age of 60.

　多くの生徒、教職員に囲まれ、さわやかな笑顔で、そして胸にぐっとくるものを感じておられました。

  He was pleased to be surrounded by a lot of students and teachers, and felt very impressed with the situation.

 　これからのますますのご活躍を期待しております。本当に長い間お疲れ様でした。

  We hope that you will succeed in your later life.  Thank you very much for all your kindness.

3月26日、27日、サントピア岡山総社にて本校１、２年普通科探究コース学習合宿を行いました。

　On March 26th and 27th, our study camp including the first and second grade students in the academic course was held at Sun Topia Okayama Soja.

　本日は４月から入学予定の新入生登校日で、入学する上でのいろいろな説明がありました。また、多くの部活動の勧誘がありました。

　Today was the freshmen-coming day and a lot of school kids came to our school and our teachers gave them some explanations about entering our school, and have good school lives.  Furthermore,  a lot of  club activitiy member students asked them to join each club.

　このたびは特に箏曲部と吹奏楽部の様子を掲載します。

   Now we will introduce the Koto club and Brass Band Club.

　本日、表彰伝達式と終業式がおこなわれました。たくさんの表彰がありました。

　Today a lot of awards exhibitions  and the closing ceremony were held.  A lot of students got good and special prizes.

　川上校長にとっては最後の式辞となりました。また、生徒課長からスマホぶとんの話もありました。ご家庭にチラシが届いていることと思います。  Today Principal Kawakami gave a final speech for him at the closing ceremony.  And the head of student affairs told us about Smartphone Futon.  We think that your family members can read the paper about Smartphone Futon. 

　先日、今年度第３回英検の結果が発表され、多くの矢高生が２級や準２級、３級に合格しました。

　The other day the result of the eiken test was announced and a lot of our school students passed various kinds of grades!!

明日は高校一般入試。みなさまのお越しをお待ちしています。

　今年度最後の学校行事、球技大会が盛大に行われました。

　Sports festival, which is the last event this semester, was held and everybody enjoyed very much! 

　昨年開始したYAKOアワード、本日第2回目が行われました。多くの来場者があり、盛り上がりました。

　The YAKO award this year was held today.  This award event was first held last year.  A lot of people came and enjoyed this.

   本日の様子は矢掛放送にて、10日から12日頃に放送されます。

　You can watch this event on Yakage broadcasting station’s program from March 10th to 12th.

　英検２次試験に向けてエンジン全開、がんばっています。

　１月下旬に受けた英検１次試験に合格した、２級、準２級にガイダンスを行いました（写真は２年生のものです）。

　面接試験（２次試験）に向けて気持ちが１つになっています。

　今年度第３回目となる図書館コンサートを行いました。

　なかなか時間のない中ではありましたが、一生懸命練習した成果を披露しました。

　真剣に聴いてくださった多くの方々に心から感謝します。

　昨夜からの雪で朝は一面真っ白。それでも、みんな元気です。

　Yakage’s all white because of heavy snow from last night.  Nevertheless, everybody’s nice!

  現在、3年生が大学入試センター試験会場の下見に出発しています。
