卒業証書授与式が晴天のもと、盛大に行われました。

Our gradution ceremony was held on March 2 very gloriously.  It was also sunny.

                       
送辞と答辞もびしっときまっていました。特に答辞は原稿をみず、真正面を向いての堂々たる姿に感動しました。

 Both sending speech and answering speech were so great.  Above all, we were very impressed with the attitude of the student who made an answering speech.  Because he was standing straight with no script.  
     
 蛍の光、校歌を高らかに歌い、感動のうちに終了。その後は各HRで最後のHRを行いました。

 We sang ”Hotaru- n0-Hikari” and School Song very loudly and were very touched.  After the ceremony, each HR teacher made a great speech and performance. 
        

卒業生の美しい涙と、晴れやかな表情が印象的な、素敵な１日でした。

ということで、予行と歌唱練習を行いました。

　We did rehearsal of Graduation Ceremony,  and practice of singing School Song and so on.

卒業式はMarch　2です。

みんなの最高の声が本番聴けるといいな。

 We wish we could hear everyone’s loud and heartwarming singing voice at real Graduation Ceremony.

学年末考査、昨日に引き続き、今日もがんばりました。

　Students took the final term exam also today as well as yesterday.

 本日から学年末考査が始まり、生徒たちはがんばっています。

　The final term exam has started today, so students are now trying hard. 

 先生たちも勉強会を行いました。

  Teachers also had a study seminar in the afternoon.

　ということで、毎日続けて英検二次面接の練習に自主的に取り組みました。

　This week students worked on practice to pass the eiken 2nd-stage interview volunteerly.

　みんな真剣です。

   Everybody’s serious itself.

　総仕上げとして、Jessica先生に面接をしてほしいとの生徒の要望があがりました。

  There were a lot of requests to have an interview practice with ALT Jessica as a last try.

　英語科全体で合格に向けてラストスパートをかけました！

  All English teachers encouraged them to pass the Eiken Test.

　27日7限、体育館にて百人一首大会が行われました。１、２年生が参加しました。

　On January 27, 7th period, Hyakunin-isshu Karuta Competition was held at our gym.  This competition involved the first and second grade students.

　図書委員会のメンバー主導で楽しくも白熱した戦いが繰り広げられました。

　 The library comittee member students led the competition and this competition was enjoyable but exciting one.

　優勝は１A、２位は１C、３位は１Bという結果でした。1年生の健闘が光りました。

 1st grade students did good job!  1A won the championship. And 2nd was 1C, and 3rd was 1B.

　第３回目は本日行われた、国語のMs. Tによる漢文の授業を紹介します。

　This time I’ll introduce Ms. T’s Chinese classical literature’s class.

　内容は「先従隗始（まずかいよりはじめよ）」でした。

  The topic was “Whoever suggest should start; Start from small things.”

　白文による音読チャレンジもあり、生徒は真剣。

   One of the aims was that students could read with the unpunctuated Chinese texts version, so they tried very hard.

　第2回は英語のMの授業。「鳩の持っている、人間より優れた能力」についての本文を完全に自分のものにしてしまおうというもの。

　This time I’ll introduce M’s English class.  The theme is pigeon’s abilities which are superior to humans’.   　

　音読を繰り返し、ペアワークも取り入れつつ、生徒と対話しながらの授業。あっという間に終わりました。

  Students read the passage repeatedly, and did some pair works.  M talked students with each other.  Time flew like an arrow.

　第１回はMr.Tの授業。Now I will introduce Mr. T’s class!

　13人で、調べ学習。 Thirteen students looked up some information.

１つのテーマについて、いろんな人の意見を総合しながらまとめ、1人1人発表するスタイル。

 This class has a style of having presentations one by one, concluding as a summary of various people’s opinions.

　放課後勉強に励んだり、ALTの先生と国際交流をはかったり・・・

　After school some students try hard to study, and others communicate with ALT.

　進化する矢掛高校です！！

  Our school is now surely making progress!!

　大学入試センター試験を、本校は岡山県立大学と吉備国際大学で受験しました。

　Our students took the center test for entering universities as the first stage.

　緊張の中にもリラックスした雰囲気もあり、ベストが尽くせたのではと思います。

 　They should do thier best owing to relaxed mood over nervous feeling.

　本番はこれから！がんばれ、受験生！！

   Please do your best to the second stage!  Hang in there!!

　とうとうこの日がきました。本校生徒は岡山県立大学と吉備国際大学に分かれてセンター試験に臨みます。

　教頭先生から力強いお言葉をいただきました。

　受験は団体戦です。チーム矢掛としてみんなで高め合いながら、最高の結果を手に入れましょう！

　You can do it!!

今回は新年らしく，折り紙を使ったミニ凧作りを行いました。小さなお子さんから年配の方まで大勢の方に来ていただき盛況でした。次回は3月に出店する予定です。

　いよいよ、学年の総決算ともいえる３学期が始まり、みんな気合いが入っています。

　まず、始業式と教務課長講話が行われました。　 Now, the third term has begun, and all the students are now trying hard to do everything.  At first, the opening ceremony was held, and our principal and the head of teaching system department made speeches.

　その後、各学年に分かれての集会、頭髪検査が行われました。下の写真は１年の様子です。

 After that, students were divided into each grade, and had an assembly and had hairstyle checked.

　真剣です。全てにおいて目で聞き、礼ではじまり、礼で終わります。

      Everybody’s so nice!  Everybody puts a lot of focus on greeting!!

　すきま時間にテスト勉強、すばらしい姿です。　また、スリッパなど自主的に整然と置ける、これも矢高生の力です。

　現在、課題考査や特別授業が行われています。センター試験まであと9日！！

　 It’s quite excellent that some of our students study for the coming test all the time.  Furthermore, they can put their slippers properly.  These are the powers of Yakage SHS students.

    Now, students are doing tests and classes.  Especially for the third grade students, they are now preparing for the coming The university entrance center test.   In nine days, the day will come.

　本年もよろしくお願い申し上げます。

　明日から３学期、明日は始業式、課題考査、そして授業も始まります。

　そんな１月７日、地域とともに歩むすばらしい集団を校内で見つけました。

　街を自らの手でさらによくしようとする集団です。

　地域とともに歩む、それが矢掛高校です。

　3年生はセンター試験まであと10日、全力を尽くしましょう！

　矢掛町の山の上地区にて、干し柿祭りが21日（日）に行われ、雲の上カフェを開きました。

　The dried perssimons’ festival was held at Yamanoue-area, Yakage-cho on December 21.  And upper-clouds cafe opened that day.

　矢掛中学校のみなさんとも協力し合いながら、山の上地区の魅力をお客様に伝えました。

　We 　shared works with Yakage JHS members each other, and told customers the attractive points of Yamanoue-area.

　 来年も矢掛高校はさらなる発展を続けます。ご支援のほどよろしくお願いします。

　本校吹奏楽部が、昨日、矢掛病院となりの「たかつま荘」にてクリスマスコンサートを行いました。

　Our brass band club memebers went to Takatsuma-so and played musics as the Christmas Concert.

　顧問も指揮をしたり歌ったりで、利用者の皆様とともに盛り上がりました。

  Our club teachers conducted and sang, and we were excited with people in the Takatsuma-so.

　口ずさんでいただける姿があちこちに見られ、心温まる素敵なコンサートとなりました。

  A lot of people sang enjoyably. and we succeeded in making a heartwariming concert.

　まさに感動でした。思わず涙。　We were so impressed and burst into tears!

　緊張した人もいましたが、立派に胸を張って発表できた、やかげ学発表会。 Some felt a little nervous, but everybody could give presentations bravely. Yakage Study presentation!

　みんなありがとう！お疲れ様。 Thank you, everybody.  Good job!!

 保護者の皆様、地域の皆様、足元の悪い中、お越しいただき、誠にありがとうございました。心より感謝申し上げます。

　とうとうこの日がやってきました。　Here comes the day we’ve been waiting for.

　普通科総合コースの最大のイベント、やかげ学発表会、いよいよ明日開催！ The biggest event in our academic course, the Yakage-gaku performance will be held tomorrow morning.

　3年生は明日に向けて最後の追い込み中です。 Third grade students practiced a lot to succeed in the coming presentation.

　2年生は来年のために、校内で中間発表会を行いました。 Second grade students did presentations as a mid-term performance.

　本日、大学入試センター試験の受験票が配付され、いよいよといった感じになってきました。

　がんばれ、受験生！！  You can do it!!
