第１回はMr.Tの授業。Now I will introduce Mr. T’s class!

　13人で、調べ学習。 Thirteen students looked up some information.

１つのテーマについて、いろんな人の意見を総合しながらまとめ、1人1人発表するスタイル。

 This class has a style of having presentations one by one, concluding as a summary of various people’s opinions.

　放課後勉強に励んだり、ALTの先生と国際交流をはかったり・・・

　After school some students try hard to study, and others communicate with ALT.

　進化する矢掛高校です！！

  Our school is now surely making progress!!

　練習に熱が入っています。

　本番は２７日（火）。

　やかげ郷土美術館に、年賀状をモチーフにした書道の見学に行ってきました。

　 We went to Yakage Original Art Museum to see calligraphy based on New Year’s Card.

　書道部員たち・顧問と本校ALTのJessica先生が見学し、新しい文化にふれることができました。

  Calligraphy club members, chief teacher, and Jessica went there and they could experience new and traditional cultures in Yakage and Japan.

　とうとうこの日がきました。本校生徒は岡山県立大学と吉備国際大学に分かれてセンター試験に臨みます。

　教頭先生から力強いお言葉をいただきました。

　受験は団体戦です。チーム矢掛としてみんなで高め合いながら、最高の結果を手に入れましょう！

　You can do it!!

昨日、1年B組のLHR（ロングホームルーム）をのぞいてみると・・・

　こんな感じで、書き初めを色紙にしたためていました。和の心ですな。

　いよいよ、学年の総決算ともいえる３学期が始まり、みんな気合いが入っています。

　まず、始業式と教務課長講話が行われました。　 Now, the third term has begun, and all the students are now trying hard to do everything.  At first, the opening ceremony was held, and our principal and the head of teaching system department made speeches.

　その後、各学年に分かれての集会、頭髪検査が行われました。下の写真は１年の様子です。

 After that, students were divided into each grade, and had an assembly and had hairstyle checked.

　真剣です。全てにおいて目で聞き、礼ではじまり、礼で終わります。

      Everybody’s so nice!  Everybody puts a lot of focus on greeting!!

　すきま時間にテスト勉強、すばらしい姿です。　また、スリッパなど自主的に整然と置ける、これも矢高生の力です。

　現在、課題考査や特別授業が行われています。センター試験まであと9日！！

　 It’s quite excellent that some of our students study for the coming test all the time.  Furthermore, they can put their slippers properly.  These are the powers of Yakage SHS students.

    Now, students are doing tests and classes.  Especially for the third grade students, they are now preparing for the coming The university entrance center test.   In nine days, the day will come.

 　終業式が本日行われました。　The 2nd term closing ceremony was held today.

が、その前にワックスがけを行いました。清らかな気持ちで新年を迎えます。

 Before that, all students did cleaning.  They’ll welcome the brilliant New Year with good and sincere feeling.

　終業式直前の表彰伝達式では、英検、商業科目技術顕彰など多く壇上にて授与されました。活躍の証です。

  Before the closing ceremony, a lot of students were given special awards including Eiken test, commercial award (given more than 3 kinds of passing certification tests).  They are tokens of good job. 

　矢掛高校はさらなる飛躍を続けます。  Yakage SHS will grow up more and more.

　明日は終業式。その後、吹奏楽部は矢掛病院の隣の「たかつま荘」にクリスマスコンサートに出かけます。

　クリスマスメドレー、懐かしの名曲を、顧問の歌も交えてお届けします。

　Tomorrow the 2nd term closing ceremony will be held in the morning.  After that, our  brassband club members will go to Takatsuma-sou day care center which is located next to Yakage Hospital.  Theywill play some medley music tune and nostalgic tunes over some teacher singing.

  　本日午前中、練習しました。

　まさに感動でした。思わず涙。　We were so impressed and burst into tears!

　緊張した人もいましたが、立派に胸を張って発表できた、やかげ学発表会。 Some felt a little nervous, but everybody could give presentations bravely. Yakage Study presentation!

　みんなありがとう！お疲れ様。 Thank you, everybody.  Good job!!

 保護者の皆様、地域の皆様、足元の悪い中、お越しいただき、誠にありがとうございました。心より感謝申し上げます。

　とうとうこの日がやってきました。　Here comes the day we’ve been waiting for.

　普通科総合コースの最大のイベント、やかげ学発表会、いよいよ明日開催！ The biggest event in our academic course, the Yakage-gaku performance will be held tomorrow morning.

　3年生は明日に向けて最後の追い込み中です。 Third grade students practiced a lot to succeed in the coming presentation.

　2年生は来年のために、校内で中間発表会を行いました。 Second grade students did presentations as a mid-term performance.

今朝の矢掛高校です。　　These are the scenes of Yakage SHS.

それでも部活、がんばっています。  It’s terrible cold, but some students try hard to practice.

　今年はよく雪がふる矢掛の風景です。

　今日から保護者懇談も始まります。保護者の皆様、寒い中、ありがとうございます。

今日の書道の授業の様子です。みんな心を清めています。　The following is about Calligraphy class today.  Everybody tastes Japanese typical spirit called “Wa.”

　１年生書道選択生が「気持ち」を書にしたためました。

　　Some of the first grade students who take calligraphy course wrote their feelings sincerely.

　本日、大学入試センター試験の受験票が配付され、いよいよといった感じになってきました。

　がんばれ、受験生！！  You can do it!!

　平成28年に岡山を中心にインターハイが行われます。　In 2016, all Japan high school sports tournament will be held in Okayama and near Okayama.

　そのスタッフの説明会を本校フォレストで行いました。   Our school’s student council members had a meeting about sports tournament at Forest Room.

　昨日、矢掛町内のいろいろな幼稚園や施設でボランティアをおこないました。　Yesterday some students went to nursery homes and kindergartens as volunteer stuffs.

　写真は美川幼稚園のものです。 The following pictures are in Mikawa Kindergarten, Yakage town.

 　子どもたちの目線で一緒に楽しむ様子が印象的でした。  It’s very impressive for our students to enjoy friendly playing with kindergarten kids each other.

　第２学期期末考査の最終日、１年生が学年集会を行いました。　On the last day of the term exam, 1st grade students had a meeting.

　来年度の修学旅行の話もちらつきましたが、ひとまずは目の前の１日を大事にすることが重要です。 Next year they are going to an excursion trip, but we would like them to try hard to do everyday works and studies.

今日は、三重県四日市市の中学校の先生を対象に、数学科における小中高の連携について講演してきます。
